Dan Benisty – Founder & Chairman
Expert in compliance and the fight against financial crime
DB Compliance Advisory is led by Dan Benisty, a recognized authority in compliance and financial crime prevention in France and across Europe. He brings over 20 years of experience in complex, international regulatory environments.
Regulatory Compliance & Financial Crime Expertise
Dan Benisty began his career in financial markets before specializing in financial and regulatory risk management. He subsequently held executive roles in Compliance, Internal Control, and Ethics within international banking groups, leading teams and programs across multiple European countries while strengthening governance and risk frameworks.
He designs and oversees compliance programs in international environments and has extensive experience with inspections conducted by European authorities, notably in France, the Benelux, and Ireland, giving him a deep understanding of supervisory expectations.
Leadership in the Compliance Community
Co-founder and Chairman of the ACAMS France Chapter since 2013, Dan Benisty plays an active role in fostering the compliance community in France. He regularly speaks at international conferences, including the ACAMS Assembly Europe, where he contributes as a member of the Task Force.
In 2016, Dan Benisty co-founded with the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ) the University Diploma “Compliance Officer – AML/CFT Specialization,” which he co-directs. This diploma is now recognized as a reference in the compliance professional area. He also regularly participates in conferences and publishes specialized articles, actively promoting compliance culture.
